At Grace Given Designs, every restored piece has a story — and that story starts long before it arrives at your door. We want you to understand the work that goes into every item we sell, because we think it's worth knowing. Here's how we do what we do.
Step 1 — Sourcing:
We start by finding furniture with potential. Not everything makes the cut — we look for solid construction, quality materials, and a piece that's worth the time we're going to put into it.
Step 2 — Assessment & Repair:
Every piece is thoroughly inspected. We fix structural issues, replace missing hardware, repair surfaces, and address anything that affects durability or function.
Step 3 — Refinishing:
This is where the transformation happens. Depending on the piece, we sand, stain, paint, or seal — always choosing a finish that brings out the best in the piece and suits its intended use.
Step 4 — Quality Check:
Before any piece leaves our hands, it goes through a final quality check. We look at it the way you'll look at it when it arrives — and if it doesn't meet our standard, it goes back until it does.
